Slack
The Slack connection alerts a chosen channel when a configured leadmaps rule finds activity that needs attention. Messages contain a short commercial summary and a link back to the dashboard, where authorized teammates can see the full context.
Slack completed its production authorization, delivery, duplicate-suppression, and disconnect canary on August 2, 2026.
Slack is supported on Hobby, Pro, and Business. It uses one integration hub connection slot.
Connect Slack
Section titled “Connect Slack”- Open Settings, then Integrations.
- Select Slack and choose Connect.
- Sign in to the correct Slack workspace if Slack asks you to.
- Choose the channel that should receive alerts.
- Review the requested incoming webhook permission and approve the install.
- Back in leadmaps, choose Send test.
Only a workspace owner or admin can start this flow. Slack shows the exact channel during approval. leadmaps does not ask for permission to read channel history or private messages.
What a message contains
Section titled “What a message contains”A message may include the lead stage, workflow state, expected or won value, currency, and a button that opens leadmaps. Contact values, page text, session replay, and visitor identifiers are not included.
Test and troubleshoot
Section titled “Test and troubleshoot”Use Send test after setup or whenever channel settings change. A successful test appears in the chosen channel and in the delivery history.
If no message arrives:
- Confirm that the connection still says Connected.
- Check whether the Slack app is still allowed in the selected channel.
- Open delivery history and look for a retry or permanent error.
- Choose Reconnect if the connection says Needs attention.
Temporary Slack failures and rate limits are retried in the background. A permanent rejection is shown as an error instead of being reported as a successful delivery.
Pause, reconnect, or disconnect
Section titled “Pause, reconnect, or disconnect”- Pause stops new Slack work without removing authorization.
- Resume allows new work again.
- Reconnect starts Slack authorization again and lets you choose a channel.
- Disconnect revokes the Slack authorization when possible, removes the stored credentials, and releases the connection slot.
If Slack is temporarily unavailable during disconnect, the connection remains disconnected in leadmaps. Only encrypted revocation material is retained while the background worker retries removal from Slack. It is deleted after Slack confirms revocation or the leadmaps workspace is deleted. A permanent provider rejection is flagged for operator review.
