Plans and billing
Open Settings, then Billing to see the provider-confirmed subscription for the current workspace. The page shows the current plan, billing interval, price, usage, status, next charge date, trial or payment-recovery timing, and any scheduled change.
Each workspace has its own subscription. If you belong to more than one workspace, check the workspace switcher before making a change.
Who can change billing
Section titled “Who can change billing”Workspace owners and admins can change billing. Members and viewers can see the subscription and usage but cannot start checkout, change a plan, cancel, reactivate, or open provider billing controls.
Direct leadmaps subscriptions
Section titled “Direct leadmaps subscriptions”Direct subscriptions are billed by Paddle, the merchant of record.
Start a subscription
Section titled “Start a subscription”Choose a paid plan from onboarding or an upgrade prompt. Each checkout window stays tied to the plan and billing interval shown when it opened. Refreshing, opening another tab, or choosing another plan cannot silently change an earlier checkout. If the workspace already has a current subscription, the billing page opens instead of starting another subscription.
Closing checkout or a failed payment does not change feature access. Repeated or delayed checkout responses cannot grant access twice. The dashboard only shows a paid subscription after Paddle confirms the accepted checkout.
Trials and discount codes
Section titled “Trials and discount codes”A new workspace has a 14-day ingest trial that starts with its first tracked event. Pro monthly can also include a separate 30-day subscription trial when that offer is shown in checkout. Other direct plans bill from day one.
You can enter a discount code in direct checkout. Paddle validates the code and updates the displayed subtotal, discount, tax, recurring amount, and total. An invalid or expired code is not applied. Always review the final provider totals before confirming.
Change plan or billing interval
Section titled “Change plan or billing interval”Select Change plan or interval, choose the new option, then request the exact provider preview. The confirmation shows:
- The amount charged now and any proration credit.
- The next charge amount and date.
- When the change takes effect.
- The new usage limit.
- Features that become restricted on a lower plan.
Upgrades and a change from monthly to annual normally take effect after the immediate payment succeeds. Downgrades and a change from annual to monthly are scheduled for the next billing date. Your current access remains in place until a scheduled change takes effect.
The confirmation is short-lived. leadmaps checks the subscription and price again when you confirm. If either changed, the old preview expires and you are asked to review a new one. Selecting the same plan and interval is a no-op. If Paddle cannot confirm a mutation, leadmaps shows that synchronization is still in progress and does not claim that access changed. The saved request is reconciled before another provider mutation is attempted.
Cancel or undo a scheduled change
Section titled “Cancel or undo a scheduled change”Cancellation is scheduled for the end of the paid billing period. The billing page shows the exact date through which access continues. You can undo the scheduled cancellation before it takes effect. You can also cancel a scheduled downgrade or interval change.
A fully ended subscription no longer grants paid feature limits. If the provider still allows reactivation, the billing page shows Reactivate. Otherwise, choose a new plan through the duplicate-safe checkout.
Payment methods, invoices, and failed payments
Section titled “Payment methods, invoices, and failed payments”Select Payment method and invoices to open Paddle’s secure billing portal. Use it to update the payment method and view billing history. leadmaps does not receive full card details.
When renewal fails, the billing page shows the provider status and recovery action. Access can continue only until the displayed grace deadline. After that deadline, or when a subscription is paused or fully ended, paid access stops until the provider confirms recovery.
Plan changes are locked during an active payment dispute. One resolved dispute cannot hide another open dispute. Refunds, chargebacks, and reversals are reflected only after the provider confirms them.
Shopify billed subscriptions
Section titled “Shopify billed subscriptions”Workspaces created through the leadmaps Shopify app are billed by Shopify, not Paddle. Select Manage plan in Shopify to approve, change, or cancel the app plan in Shopify Admin. The leadmaps dashboard never opens Paddle checkout for a Shopify billed workspace.
Shopify remains the billing authority. leadmaps updates access from the current Shopify contract and repairs missed or delayed updates in the background. A short Synchronizing state can appear while that confirmation is in progress.
The current Shopify catalog offers a 30-day trial only on Pro monthly. Shopify shows the trial and all future charges before approval. Shopify discounts are not part of the current leadmaps catalog. If the approved contract does not match the plan shown in leadmaps, access remains in Synchronizing instead of guessing.
Uninstalling the Shopify app immediately invalidates its store session and starts retry-safe cleanup of tracking access. Reinstalling creates a new installation, so a delayed message from the old installation cannot disconnect the new one. A canceled or inactive Shopify contract stops granting paid limits after the confirmed access period ends.
Subscription status and access
Section titled “Subscription status and access”| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Trialing | Trial access is active until the displayed date. |
| Active | The provider has confirmed the subscription. |
| Payment recovery | A renewal needs attention. Update the payment method before the displayed grace deadline. |
| Paused | Paid limits are not active until the provider confirms reactivation. |
| Cancellation scheduled | Current access continues until the displayed effective date. |
| Canceled | Access continues only when a paid period is still remaining. |
| Synchronizing | leadmaps is waiting for authoritative provider state and does not guess. |
Usage above a lower plan’s limit
Section titled “Usage above a lower plan’s limit”The confirmation screen warns when current usage is above the selected plan’s monthly event limit and lists features that will be restricted. Existing retained data is not silently deleted by the plan-change action. New ingest and feature access follow the lower plan when the scheduled change takes effect.
Deleting an account or workspace
Section titled “Deleting an account or workspace”leadmaps blocks deletion when it could orphan an active or still-entitled subscription. Cancel or transfer the subscription first, wait for the provider-confirmed effective state, then retry deletion. Billing and audit records that must be retained for legal or accounting reasons are kept separately from product access.
If a status looks wrong
Section titled “If a status looks wrong”Refresh the billing page once to request current server state. Do not start another checkout to repair an existing subscription. If the provider and dashboard still disagree after synchronization, contact leadmaps support with the workspace name and provider shown on the billing page. Do not send card numbers or other payment credentials.
